Lace makers Festival and musical interlude

The Lace Biennial Exhibition will take place in Venice from Saturday 4 to Monday 13 June 2016. For the detailed program, please visit the Fondazione Musei Civici Venezia – Museo del Merletto (Civic Museums Foundation Venice – Museum of Laces) and/or Palazzo Mocenigo web site: mocenigo.visitmuve.it   During the same event, the subscription of the memorandum of understanding by all the mayors participating in the Candidacy Project of Italian Lace in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage will be formalized.

Atelier Martina Vidal Venezia on the island of Burano, on occasion of the 2016 Biennial Lace Exhibition, has organized  for Sunday 5 June, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Venice Secret Garden, the Lace makers Festival. During the festival, some drawings realized for the initiative of 8 March 2016 “Un disegno per un merletto” (A drawing for a lace) will be presented, and for the guests of the Atelier a demonstration show of the lace makers will be performed.

At 4 p.m. a musical interlude with opera singer and piano accompaniment will take place. The entrance to the concert is on invitation, subject to availability. The invitation can be requested with email: news@martinavidal.com
